A Centerfold and More!
The book committee is in the process of proofing and placing photos in appropriate sections. There are many wonderful photos for us to use. In fact, we plan on having several pages with only photos and captions. The committee, in good nature refers to this as our "centerfold". It may be of interest for you to know that our book contains 69 family/farm histories. This includes nine family farm stories where the farm has being in the same family for 150 years or more. We have had 111 individuals write stories for the book and we have 327 individual articles. The total word count is 171,000 words. end

Will there be stories about the Chilgren families?

Both Nels and Mons are written up as part of the Adolph Annexstad and O.E. Lokensgard farmilies as they are brothers that settled these two farms.
Will it be possible to get hold of the book if you live outside the US?

Will the C G Stark family also be included in the book since they are connected to the Chilgren´s? The Stark-family is a pretty interesing family to research!
There is a reference to Mons Chilgren marrying Mary Stark in 1864. There is a photo of the house they built in 1885. Also in 1862 the Scandinavian Guard was organized under the command of a Captain Gustaf A. Stark. These are two references that I am aware of.
If I´m not mistaken Nils and Måns Kihlgren´s sister Hanna, married Herman Stark, Gustaf August Stark´s brother. The Stark children were 6 + a foster daughter, Agnes. The stark children´s parents were Carl Gustaf Stark and Maria Bernhardina Hafström.
Hanna Chilgren married Herman Stark. Hanna was Måns and Nils sister and Herman was brother to Mary Sophia and Gustaf August Stark.
Is the team interested in more photographs? I suppose the deadline for the book is fast approaching, if not already past, but I think my grandma might have old photos of the Scandian Grove church somewhere, if there was a need for them...
